Welcome to Collier Studios!

As you may have already realised, I ceased offering custom framing in March, 2021, to concentrate on my own art and craft projects. I still have a vast stock of prints and paintings; some are in the gallery pages on this website, others are not yet listed. These can be framed up: I still have moulding stock.  You are very welcome to browse, if you arrange in advance and give me some idea of what you are interested in.

In addition, I now stock beautiful handmade rag rugs (“Proggy mats”), homemade preserves from mostly foraged fruits, and hand painted furniture – dining suites, tables, chairs etc, some mid century, some older, some newer.

The workshop address is Unit 2, Acomb Industrial Estate, Hexham, NE46 4SA. It may not be in as picturesque a spot as the Bothy, where I used to be, but it’s closer to civilisation and much easier to find!  The industrial estate is clearly signposted opposite the turn up into the village, and is also waymarked by a little forest of signs for the various businesses homed there, including a big red VALTRA sign. Ridleys Fish and Game are on the same estate.

So come and visit, but please ring first;  -I no longer keep regular opening hours, and I’d hate you to waste your journey.

Directions on how to find me are on the Contact page.  When you pass the speed camera heading north, look out for the signs at the entrance to Howford Lane. (Incidentally, Howford Lane leads not only to the industrial estate, but also to the Meeting of the Waters, which was recently declared an SSI, and is a beautiful walk along the river.)

Most of the pictures I had in stock when I left Milburn House are still available;  I will be updating the artists’ pages as fast as I can, but as a quick reminder, I have work by:-

Walter Holmes,  John Coatsworth,  James Williamson Bell,  Juliet de Gaye,  Alan Reed,  Anton Sulek,  Frank Burke,  Robert Heindel,  Susan Edwards,  Bernard Dunstan,  Alexander Millar (1 signed print),  David Pearson,  Rob Piercy,   David Shepherd,  Roger Dean,  and reproduction maps of Northumberland. Plus my own, of course.

If the artists’ pages you are interested in aren’t shown yet, for further details, just ring me! (Anne Collier: 07908 487589)
