David Pearson

David Pearson Was born in 1951 and following his local education, embarked upon a career in teaching and lecturing. David has also been involved in local history, environmental research, graphic design and illustration, and spent time as artist in residence at the University of Durham Botanical Gardens.He has undertaken commissions for: the University of Durham Library; the Port of Tyne Authority – Newcastle; The Laing Art Gallery – Newcastle; Weardale Council; Her Grace the Duchess of Northumberland and numerous private commissions.His work has been exhibited at: the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew; the University of Northumbria Gallery; the Hancock Museum – Newcastle; Bede’s World – Jarrow; Durham Art gallery; ‘Hortus’ Gallery – Chelsea Green London; Colliers – Newcastle and the Dial Gallery – Warkworth.
